Serving in youth ministry is an incredible opportunity and calling, but it isn’t easy and shouldn’t be done alone. While it may be challenging to build and lead a youth ministry team, the reward is great, and the return on investment is often even greater. But how does a team work together? How do adults from different generations, backgrounds, stories, experiences, and passions all work together to serve students?
Serving in youth ministry brings people together to form a team that cares for one another and cares for those around them. In SERVE, you and your volunteers will discover how to grow in the primary areas people encounter as they serve in youth ministry.
SERVE provides practical insights, research, encouragement, and team discussion in youth ministry by covering important topics like:
- The call to serve
- The generational impact
- Understanding teamwork and caring for others
- Mentoring
- Personal devotion
- Staying directed and motivated
- Discovering the mindset of a servant
- The importance of staying engaged in the local church
- Understanding youth culture
- Effective communication
- Training and equipping
- And much more
