Lesson Objective: Your teens will be challenged to remember why Jesus did what He did and what was accomplished through His sacrifice, and to formulate a response to Jesus' death and resurrection.
Scripture Focus: Luke 24:13-53
Overview: This lesson takes a different route to the Easter narrative, choosing to look at the conversation between Jesus and two of His followers on the road to Emmaus, and the events that followed. This passage will help your teens understand why Jesus had to do what he did, and what His death and resurrection accomplished. Furthermore, your teens will have the chance to respond to Jesus based on their understanding of what He did for them. This lesson highlights the hope that Jesus makes possible through the forgiveness of sins He purchased on the cross.
