As we celebrate the 4th of July, let's see how well you can identify some other famous 4ths.

5 Views on Youth Ministry Short-Term Missions reflects the thoughts, personal stories, and real-life tips of five in-the-trenches youth workers who regularly lead short-term mission trips (STMs). Here you’ll find thoughtful but practical dialogue on the multiple views and approaches to STMs, from work camps to urban missions to long-term partnerships with Indigenous church leaders across the globe. Didn’t realize there were different views and approaches to STMs that thoughtful youth workers could disagree on? That’s part of the point of this book; to help youth workers have more insight into the issues and be more intentional in their responses. The five views of STMs found within this book are based on the contributors’ core commitments and worldviews (really, their missiology). Each of the contributors also offers a short response to one of the other views of STMs presented. Appendices tackle the important topics of junior high short-term missions and the incredible value of multigenerational trips.

Players will split into teams, race to read each clue, and guess the correct answer before the other team. Score 1000 points for every right answer and watch out—lose 500 points for each wrong one! It's fast-paced, fun, and packed with nostalgia. Who will graduate at the top of the class?

The solar eclipse of 2024 was all over the news… and so were several products that were themed to the event. Challenge your group to separate the actual products from the made-up ones in this wild game. In each round, players will be presented with odd options from the mouthwatering to the downright bizarre. Players vote by holding up a thumbs up if they think the product is true or a thumbs down if they believe it's false. After all the votes are in, reveal the truth behind the product - was it really eclipsed or just a figment of someone's imagination? Autumn’s heating up in Quickfire – Fall Edition! This fast-paced circle game puts your reflexes and memory to the test as you race to keep the answers flowing. With fall-themed prompts, it’s all about thinking on your feet before the leaves—and players—start dropping.

How to Play

Players take turns around the circle answering the prompt. If you stall, repeat an answer, or slip up with the wrong word or sound, you’re out. The game keeps moving like falling leaves until only one sharp player remains standing as the winner.

Sharpen those pencils and your intuition—it’s time for Follow My Lead – Back to School Edition! In this crowd-based guessing game, one brave leader takes the stage and silently chooses between two classic school-related options. The twist? The rest of the group has to guess what the leader picked by choosing a side of the room. From cafeteria food face-offs to subject showdowns, it’s all about reading the leader’s mind. Pick the right side and you survive. Pick wrong… and you're heading back to class (aka you're out)!

How to Play:
Bring one leader or volunteer on stage. Display a slide with two school-themed choices (like “Math” vs. “English” or “Backpack” vs. “Binder”). The leader silently picks one of the options. Then the crowd chooses what they think the leader picked by moving to the left or right side of the room (based on which side each option is listed on). Reveal the leader’s choice. Students who guessed incorrectly are out. Bring up a new leader each round and keep going until one student remains!
