"What's in the Box!?" has a bunch of different uses. You can create up to 26 digital shoeboxes and assign a color, letter, and prize/anti-prize to each one. Then create a real life shoebox for each one on the screen. Have your students pick a letter and that shoebox will be revealed on the screen. When you hit the spacebar, the lid flies off and a little sign appears with what is in the box.
One way to play is to have a student blindfolded, sticking their hand into a shoebox filled with... whatever you want! This is fun because you can fill it with gross stuff and reveal to the crowd what it is without the blindfolded person knowing. You can even use it as prize picker!

What makes this a premium game?

Premium games are those that you can play over and over again as the outcomes of our premium games are never the same! Watch the video to the left to learn all about how this premium game works. Games that are "one and done" are a part of our Classic Game catalog and those can be seen here.

  •  Getting Started:

    • Before you can use, "What's in the Box!?" you first need to setup your shoeboxes. The best way to do this is to first create up to 26 real shoe boxes. It's a good idea to make them look like the shoeboxes on the screen (a solid color with a black circle and white letter in the middle).
    • Once you do that, decide what is going to be in each box. Then, click, "Add a box" in the game's settings. Fill in what is in that box and select the color of the box. If you need to, you can drag your boxes around to reorder them. The letters are automatically assigned. Make sure you save your settings before launching the game!

    Instructions:

    • When a shoebox isn't on the screen, it will show the title of the game. To show a shoebox, just hit the letter on your keyboard. If you need to get rid of the box without opening it, just hit the letter again.
    • To open the box, hit the spacebar. To remove the box, either hit the spacebar again, or hit a different box letter on the keyboard. Like most (if not all) of our games, you can make up the rules and gameplay. Here's how a basic game would work: Spooky Shoebox: Fill up to 26 real shoeboxes with gross stuff like spaghetti, crickets, animal bones, pumpkin seeds, etc. Letter them alphabetically. Place them on a table and bring a student up. Blindfold the student and have them select a letter.
    • When they do, hit that letter on your keyboard while someone puts that shoebox on a table in front of the blindfolded student. Press the spacebar on the keyboard to reveal what is in the box to the crowd.
    • At the same time, lift the lid off the real box. Have the student reach in the box and feel around. They have three chances to tell you what is in the box. If they get it wrong or pass, just have them pick another box. Keep doing this until they get 3 boxes correct.
