True or false? Yey or nay? Fact or Fiction? Real or Fake? Thumbs is a great way to play all of those games with your students! At its core, Thumbs is a tool that displays a thumbs up and a thumbs down. Have everyone answer a question with their thumbs in the air. Then display the answer with the thumbs on the screen! It’s a great visual and adds some extra flare to your games.

    • Launch the game and display it on your screen. If you’re streaming using Zoom, make sure you select the, “Share Screen” option and select the game window from the list of available screens. Thumbs is a really simple tool that doesn’t require any set up. It can be used in a bunch of different ways. Basically, the arms are going to spin around until you tell them to stop. It will either stop on a random thumbs up or down, or you can force it to stop on one or the other. 
    • With that said, one way to use this game is to have everyone give a thumbs up or thumbs down. Then, if it lands on the one you have, you’re safe and the rest are out. Keep going until you have a winner! The other way to play is to have preselected true/false questions. Ask the question, have everyone give their answer with a thumbs up or thumbs down, and reveal the answer by forcing the game to land on the correct one.
