Secret Squares is a blast! You select any images that you want and they’ll be covered by a bunch of squares. Your students have to figure out what the full image is as you reveal one square at a time! The first student to get it right will win that round! With the touch of a button, you can change the difficulty from just a handful of big squares to an insane amount of tiny squares!

What makes this a premium game?

Premium games are those that you can play over and over again as the outcomes of our premium games are never the same! Watch the video to the left to learn all about how this premium game works. Games that are "one and done" are a part of our Classic Game catalog and those can be seen here.

  • Getting Started:

    • The first thing you’re going to want to do is gather your images. They can be anytihng from memes to photos of people in your ministry. They just have to be .png or .jpg. To make things simple, create a new folder somewhere on your computer (like the Desktop) and copy the photos into that folder. It’s not necessary, but it makes finding them to upload into the game a lot faster.
    • Open the game and wait for the dashboard to load. In the settings panel, click on the, “Add Photos” button. Navigate to your photos and select the ones that you want to use (you can select multiple at once using the shift key). Once your photos have been loaded into the settings panel, you can drag the top left corders to rearrange them. Now, just tap the save button and you’re good to go!

    Instructions:

    • Launch the game and display it on your screen. If you’re streaming using Zoom, make sure you select the, “Share Screen” option and select the game window from the list of available screens. (As with all of our games, you can use the keyboard to control what’s happening, but there are also buttons that you can click in the dashboard.)
    • Tell your students that there are images behind these squares and the first one to guess what the image is will win that round. Hitting the spacebar will start and stop the ball of the screen. It will jump from square to square at random and reveal whichever one it lands on. You can also hit the R key to jump to a random square to reveal it without jumping to a new square afterwards. If you want, you can also move the ball manually with the arrow keys.
    • When you’re ready to reveal the square, just hit the Enter/Return key on your keyboard. Hitting the A key will reveal all of the squares to show the image beneath. When you’re ready to move to the next or previous image, just hit the < or > keys on your keyboard. You can also change the difficulty by hitting the 1-5 keys on your keyboard. 1 is the easiest with just a few really large squares. This is a good way tot start to get everyone familiar with the game (and also get their hopes up because they think it will be easy). 5 is the hardest with an insane amount of tiny squares.
