Overview: 

As the sun sets on yet another youth ministry summer, many of us in this youth worker tribe are walking into the start of a new ministry year, finding ourselves to be a little more burned up or burnt out than we are sunburned. Maybe that’s you. Maybe that’s your team members or volunteers. Maybe that’s the other youth workers who serve alongside you in churches within your community. Sometimes we need to reignite our longing for God to bring a renewal across the land and our prayers for it to start with our youth, who are dying for a life worth living. Sometimes we need to remember that our God is calling us to have faith like His little ones— naïve, bold, and faith-filled children. Sometimes we need to be inspired by God’s goodness and His powerful use of the seemingly foolish things. Sometimes we need to be reminded that God is calling us to be foolish, to dream again, and to dare to engage with this new adventure that requires such tremendous sacrifice. Sometimes we need to take a well-deserved time out to do a little soul care and recall the uniqueness and Kingdom impact of This Foolish Calling.
