Scripture Focus: Isaiah 46:9-10, Isaiah 40:13-14, Psalm 33:13-15, Psalm 147:4-5

Overview: As we’ve unpacked the various attributes of God over the course of ACTIVATE, your students have come to a deeper understanding of who God is and how He operates. As they will discover today, God’s knowledge is another attribute that has powerful implications for how they live their lives and faith. In this lesson, your students will see how God’s perfect knowledge of all things gives them confidence for today and hope for the future.

What we want students to learn: That God’s knowledge of His children is the foundation for Jesus’ command to be bold in our witness.

What we want students to do with what they’ve learned: To be bold knowing that no matter what the world throws at them, they will never be outside of God’s knowledge of them.

Scripture Focus: Matthew 10:26-30

Overview: The world throws many things at our students: relationship woes, challenges with school, issues with family, and so on. How comforting it is for them to understand that they are truly known by God. In this lesson, your students will learn that Jesus knows them. And because of this, their life has great value. They never have to worry about who is for them.

What we want students to learn: That God’s perfect knowledge is a source of confidence, hope, and assurance.

What we want students to do with what they’ve learned: To rest in the truth that God is in control, that He sets things right, and that we are truly and forever known.

Scripture Focus: Romans 11:33, Hebrews 4:13, Psalm 139:1-3

Overview: God is in control in the midst of a chaotic world. There is nothing He does not know. Nothing that slips past His knowledge. Nothing escapes His notice, and that includes wrongdoing. His perfect knowledge extends to a knowledge of all that needs to be set right. Because of this, we can have a great restful assurance that God has us in His hand. He knows us. We are His.
