- Objective: The point of the lesson is that your students would understand the importance of communicating to God praise simply for who He is, and that they would begin to practice “reaching up” to God in this way.
Lesson 3: Reach Out—A Psalm of Lament (Psalm 6)
- Objective: The point of the lesson is that your students would be challenged to be authentic with God, bringing their real and maybe even raw emotions to Him, and that they would trust Him to be their source of comfort and peace.
Lesson 4: God’s Reach—A Psalm of Thanksgiving (Psalm 136)
- Objective: The point of the lesson is that your students would realize that acknowledging God’s work in their lives unlocks a richness in their relationship with Him, and that they would seize opportunities to thank God for His provision.
Lesson 5: Reach For—A Psalm of God’s Presence (Psalm 34:15-22)
- Objective: The point of the lesson is that your students would deepen their trust in God, through all manner of difficult circumstances, knowing that God hears and responds to their prayers.
Lesson 6: Reach Beyond—A Psalm of Shared History (Psalm 66)
- Objective: The point of the lesson is that your students would be challenged to recall how God has intersected with their lives in the past, and to live a bold faith-life in the present as a result.
