  • "KING AND KINGDOM" IS PART OF YM360’S SERMON SERIES LINE OF RESOURCES AND IS IDEAL FOR:

    • Any large group setting
    • Mid-week youth service
    • "Master teacher” format

"KING AND KINGDOM" COVERS THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES AND PASSAGES:

    • Session 1: The King Has Come (Mark 1:1-15) | Mark opens with a bold proclamation: the kingdom of God has arrived! Jesus begins His ministry by calling people to repentance and announcing that God’s reign is breaking into the world. In this session, we’ll discuss what it means to live under Jesus’ rule instead of our own and challenge students to reflect on who’s really on the throne of their lives.

    • Session 2: Power in Serving (Mark 10:35-45) | In this passage, Jesus flips the world’s idea of greatness. He teaches that true greatness comes from serving others. This session challenges our culture’s view of success and power. Students will be encouraged to think about what it looks like to live as servants in their everyday lives, following Jesus’ example of humility and sacrifice.

    • Session 3: The Cost of Following Jesus (Mark 8:34-38) | Jesus doesn’t sugarcoat the reality of following Him—it comes with a cost. He calls His disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. We’ll unpack what this means for students today and discuss how living for Jesus may require sacrificing comfort, popularity, or even our own desires. Students will be challenged to consider what it means to truly follow Jesus, even when it’s hard.

    • Session 4: Resurrection and Hope (Mark 16:1-8) | The Gospel of Mark ends with the resurrection of Jesus, and it changes everything. In this session, we’ll explore the hope that comes from Jesus defeating death and how His resurrection offers us new life. Students will reflect on how the resurrection isn’t just a brief moment in history, but the start of a new story, and they’re invited to live in it.
