Harmony Grove Baptist Church is a growing church in a growing community, located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. We are seeking a passionate and driven Youth Minister to lead our vibrant youth ministry. This role involves guiding middle and high school students in their spiritual growth, fostering a sense of community, and helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence through faith.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include planning and leading weekly youth group activities and events, developing Bible studies and lessons, organizing retreats and mission trips, and providing spiritual guidance. The Youth Minister will also recruit and train volunteers, partner with parents, and build relationships with other community churches. Managing the youth ministry budget and engaging with the community through various channels, including our school system, are also key tasks. Other duties involve teaching the Bible, assisting with Sunday school curriculum, and participating in staff and leadership meetings.
Qualifications
Applicants should be committed Christians with a growing faith. Important qualifications include understanding adolescent development, excellent communication skills, creativity in engaging youth, and the ability to mentor young people effectively. Strong organizational and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to work in a team and a commitment to the church's beliefs. Flexibility for evening and weekend work, including overnight events, is necessary.
