Overview: The Thanksgiving season is a perfect time to help students discover some great Bible truths about giving thanks to God. Many of the thanksgiving passages in Scripture are general calls to give thanks to God and to be thankful in day-to-day life. For this lesson you are going to introduce your students to three people in the Bible who expressed thanks to God for specific reasons. Those three are Anna, the Samaritan leper, and Jesus.
Through the lives of these people your students will look at a variety of things to be thankful for and some interesting ways the people returned thanks to God. To close you will challenge your students to think of ways God has blessed them and to look at some different expressions of thanks that they could use to express their gratitude to God.
