Jesus and Stress: A 4-Lesson Bible Study, one of 13 Jesus Studies Bible studies, will help your students see that God is the source of their peace and assurance in a stressful world.
Stress. It’s a dominant part of your teenagers’ daily lives. Stress over schoolwork, sports, jobs, and friends. Not to mention the stress that their home life can cause. Teenagers juggle so many responsibilities and deal with so much pressure and expectations. How can we lead them to deal with stress in a godly, Christ-centered way? Good thing Jesus had a ton to say about this.
Jesus and Stress: A 4-Lesson Bible Study will help you teach your students to trust God with the stress of life; that they have a choice when it comes to dealing with their stress; that choosing to trust God with their stress is the right decision even if they don’t understand exactly what God is doing; and that the Holy Spirit is present in their lives to give them peace and comfort.
Teach Jesus and Stress and help students see that God is the source of their peace and assurance in a stressful world.

Lesson 1: God > Stress

Lesson 2: The Choice Is Yours
Learning Objectives: Students will learn that they have a choice when it comes to dealing with their stress: They can choose to give in to the worries of this world, or they can choose to focus on Jesus; and will be challenged to identify, practically speaking, what it means to choose to focus on Christ instead of their stress. (Luke 10:38-42; John 12:1-3)

Learning Objectives: Students will learn that choosing to trust God with their stress is the right decision even if they don’t understand exactly what God is doing; and will be challenged to define what “surrender” looks like and to commit to surrendering one of their main sources of stress to God. (Luke 1:26-38; Luke 1:48)
Lesson 4: Peace > Stress
Learning Objectives: Students will learn that the Holy Spirit is present in their lives to give them peace and comfort and will be challenged to remember to seek the Holy Spirit’s comfort and peace in times of stress or anxiety. (John 14:23-27; John 14)

Secure your next year of Bible study strategy today with the Jesus Studies 52-Week Strategy
Fears every Youth Worker has when selecting a year-long Bible Study:
The fear of locking into a Bible study that looks good on the surface but doesn't go any deeper than surface-level
The fear of being a few weeks into a study and it not meeting the expectations you set
The fear of picking a study that doesn't ultimately speak into the lives of your students
It doesn't have to be this way.
You don’t need to be reminded of the issues teenagers deal with as they try to live out their faith in a world that’s often opposed to their core beliefs. Navigating these issues can be rough. Teenagers get so many mixed messages; the world says one thing, their friends may say another. And we hope they know enough about their faith to know how to make sense of it all.
The Jesus Studies, a 52-week Bible study strategy, cut through the confusion, teaching your students a Christ-centered look at the major issues they deal with in their lives.
These are not watered-down, topical Bible studies. These studies reveal how Jesus weighs in on the very issues your students are confronted with on a daily basis. Your students will learn to see life through the person of Christ.
Your students will journey through the following concepts: Jesus and Identity, Your Faith, Jesus and Culture, Jesus and Loving Others, Jesus and Tough Times, Jesus and Your Image, Jesus and Stress, Jesus and Forgiveness, Jesus and Influence, Jesus and Relationships, Jesus and Your Future, Jesus and Mean People, and Jesus and Stuff.
Teach The Jesus Studies to equip your students to see the relevant issues of their lives through the words of Jesus.
