Introducing The CLEAR Conference, A YM360 Collaboration With Ed Newton
So, as Ed pitched the idea for the conference he had been piloting, it was easy for YM360 to partner with Ed to fully launch the CLEAR Conference.
It's a privilege to partner with Ed to launch a conference that will raise up a generation of powerful, clear communicators. People who can communicate God's Word to students (and others) powerfully and clearly.
We are excited to join Ed today in announcing this training experience, including initial dates and locations. I want you to get a chance to hear from Ed himself. Below you will find Ed's announcement originally posted on his website. I hope you enjoy hearing Ed's heart for these gatherings:
I'm excited to announce the official launch of The CLEAR Conference and www.PreachClearly.com. For the past several years there has been a grassroots movement taking place in Memphis, TN and Orlando, FL. These cities have hosted a gathering of leaders seeking to sharpen their skills as clear Bible communicators. These short, intimate gatherings have been meaningful times of collectively pouring over God’s Word, highlighting essential truth, and learning to communicate that truth in a clear, and powerful way.
I’m ecstatic to announce a partnership between YM360 and myself to bring the CLEAR Conference to more leaders in more cities. CLEAR is a chance for you to come spend some quality time with other ministers, learning “best practices” from communicators such as myself, Chad Poe, Mac Cockrell, Brent Crowe, and Wade Morris, just to name a few. CLEAR offers such a range of benefits to ministers, including:
-- In-depth teaching on how to craft a biblically-centered delivery
-- Ministry coaching
-- Fellowship and community with like-minded leaders
-- How to lead clear invitations
-- Personal access to some of the country's best communicators.
This strategic partnership with YM360 will create a platform to better serve ministers across the country, and expand the geographical reach of this gathering to more locations.
For the past several years this has been a free event. However, to truly grow the ministry impact of CLEAR, we needed an infrastructure to handle registration, coaching, resource content, and skill development. YM360 joyfully and willingly said yes at the chance to partner with me to make CLEAR more available to more leaders. These phenomenal people are a “band of brothers” to me personally, and have graciously rallied around me to launch this conference. Their heart is to create a quality experience for you personally.
In order to make these logistical elements a reality, we’re asking participants to register via www.PreachClearly.com. The cost to attend is $59 per person. (In full transparency, that won’t pay to put on a conference of this caliber, but does allow us to offset costs in such a way that we can move forward in more places, for more people.) Additionally we will secure other strategic partners to help offset costs. But hear me say this: if you want to attend CLEAR, but don’t have a conference budget, don’t let money be the reason you don’t come. If you can't afford the $59 conference fee, scholarships are available to make this conference a reality.
I look forward to serving you in the near future.
Ed Newton
So here is the skinny on the CLEAR Conference that will be in Memphis, TN December 3-4, 2015. It will be held at The Grove at Red Oak Lake, 849 Rocky Point Road, Cordova, TN 38018 (www.mygrove.org for directions). Space is limited to 40, as we desire these gatherings to be as intimate as possible. A full list of session leaders, along with Ed Newton and Andy Blanks, will be announced soon. For more information, and to register, visit www.PreachClearly.com, or you can email Angela at YM360 directly.
And if you can’t make Memphis, we will offer two more CLEAR Conferences in spring 2016 in Orlando, FL, and fall 2016 in Birmingham, AL. Dates and details will be available on those gatherings soon. Our team is thrilled to be a part of these gatherings, and we trust they will be time well spent learning to be an effective and clear communicator of God’s Word!
