I'm Not Ashamed opens Friday

Opening this week, “I’m Not Ashamed” is the powerful, true story of Columbine High School student Rachel Joy Scott. Growing up, Rachel knew the love of God, but she wasn’t always ready to receive it. At times her faith was on fire, and at other times it was at odds with her everyday life.  But after praying, “Father, use my life to touch the world and let your light shine through me,” her renewed commitment to Jesus played out compassionately and powerfully at her high school, and around the world.

Our friends at Pure Flix have produced a really well-done film based on Rachel’s honest and heartfelt journals. The story is one of great hope in the midst of one of our country’s most disturbing tragedies. This inspiring and true story shows how God can bring tremendous good out of horrible tragedy.

At YM360, we believe in this film. We promo’d it all summer at GENERATE, and have had a front row seat to the project essentially from start to finish. It’s one that you can confidently incorporate into your youth ministry. It’s a powerful Gospel message that we’re confident God will use to transform the lives of many.

Check out your local listings to make plans to catch I Am Not Ashamed in your community. And don’t forget to check out https://imnotashamedfilm.com, which has a wealth of resources for following up once your group has seen the movie.
