Image is a four-session series that helps students examine the image they project to the world and what the Bible says about it. Each session challenges students to surrender the image they’re protecting and instead live authentically and boldly as followers of Jesus, reflecting Him to the world.

Image challenges students to evaluate the “gap” between who they say they are and how they truly live. In a world obsessed with reputation, image management, and social media influencing, students will discover what Jesus says about denying themselves, bringing their brokenness to Him, aligning their actions with their faith, and living boldly for God regardless of what others think. This series will help students stop protecting the image they’ve created and live boldly for Jesus, reflecting Him to the world.

What's Covered in Image?

Session 1: Deny Yourself (Mark 8:34-38; John 3:25-30) 

This session exposes just how fragile the images we project really are. Students will see Jesus’ call to deny themselves and see John the Baptist as an example of humility. Students will be challenged to surrender the image they’re protecting and choose to reflect Jesus instead.

 

Session 2: Broken (Luke 18:35-43; 1 Timothy 1:15-16) 

This session shows how we often use the image we project to cover up our brokenness. Students will see through the story of the blind beggar in Luke 18 that we’re invited to bring our brokenness honestly to Jesus, who meets us where we are with mercy and compassion.

 

Session 3: Fruit (Luke 6:43-45; Philippians 1:27)

This session challenges students to examine the gap between what they claim to believe and how they actually live. Through Luke 6, students learn that their actions reveal what’s in their hearts and will be challenged to pursue a true heart transformation rather than managing their image.

 

Session 4: Fear (Luke 7:36-50)

This session challenges students to live boldly for Jesus regardless of what others think. Through Luke 7, students will see what it looks like not to let what other people think get in the way of their devotion to Jesus.
