Good News is a four-session series that helps students see that sharing their faith is an act of love and obedience, lived out with humility, compassion, and authenticity.

The call to make disciples is for every believer, but for many students it feels intimidating or out of reach. Good News explores why evangelism matters and how it can be lived out with humility, compassion, and authenticity. Students will see that evangelism is not about winning arguments or staying silent. It is sharing the Good News of Jesus and inviting others to trust and follow Him.

What's Covered in Good News?

Session 1: The Heart of the Mission (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Peter 3:9)

God desires that none should perish. This says something about the heart of God. This session highlights why evangelism flows from God’s love for the world. Students will understand the Great Commission as an invitation to join God’s mission to reconcile a lost world back to Himself.

 

Session 2: Living a Distinct Life (Matthew 5:14-16) 

Before people hear what we say, they see how we live. This session highlights how things like love, kindness, peace, and faithfulness make the Gospel visible to those around us. Students will explore how everyday faithfulness, even when it’s countercultural, prepares the way for Gospel conversations.

 

Session 3: Sharing Your Story (Mark 5:14-20) 

Personal testimony is a powerful way to point a watching world to Jesus. This session helps students see how God has worked in their lives, even in ordinary ways, and how to share that story. Most of all, they’ll learn to keep Jesus the hero of their story so others see Him more clearly.

 

Session 4: Courage and Compassion (Colossians 4:5-6)

Evangelism requires both boldness and grace, and holding the two together is a place many struggle with. This session explores how to speak truth with grace and wisdom. Students will be challenged to trust God with the results of their conversations while remaining faithful to His truth and His heart.
