"A SONG OF HOPE" IS PART OF YM360’S SERMON SERIES LINE OF RESOURCES AND IS IDEAL FOR:
- Any large group setting
- Mid-week youth service
- "Master teacher” format
A SONG OF HOPE COVERS THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES AND PASSAGES:
- Session 1 – Hope: God’s Plan From The Beginning (Genesis 3:14-15; Isaiah 9:6-7; Luke 1:26-38) | The hope of Jesus’ birth was not unheard of for those who lived in the New Testament time period. In fact, hope was announced from the beginning. Old Testament prophecies announced God’s promise of hope through the birth of Jesus. Through these prophecies, we’ll see hope from the beginning.
Session 2 – Hope: Guides Us From Fear To Peace (Luke 2:8-14; Philippians 4:6-7) | Throughout Scripture, God encourages His people with the words, “Do not fear.” These words are given to us with the hope that we will replace our fear with trusting God so that we can live with peace. In a world where it is easy and perhaps even our first nature to be fearful and worried, God guides us to peace.
Session 3 – Hope: Brings Purpose To Our Lives (Luke 1:26-37; Ephesians 2:10) | Out of nowhere, an angel appeared to a young girl named Mary and gave her an incredible purpose for her life: giving birth to the Savior. The reality is that God has a purpose and a plan for all of us, and when we place our hope in Jesus, we can seek Him to find that purpose in our lives.
Session 4 – Hope: From One Person To All People (Luke 2:10; John 3:16; Matthew 28:18-20) | We know that hope was God’s plan from the very beginning. God would bring hope to the world through the Savior, Jesus. But it doesn’t stop there. That hope is meant to be shared, and God is inviting us to share the hope of Jesus with all people.
