It’s almost too easy to be fearful about situations beyond our control. Will it go the way we hope, does anyone care as much as I do, how will this affect everything else in my life? We often overlook one of the simplest things we can do in every situation…trust that God knows what he is doing. Over the 4 sessions of God’s Got This, we will look at the story of Joseph. He was chosen by God to save his family and his people. Even when those around him misunderstood who he was and the purpose God had given him, God didn’t stop the work He was using Joseph for.

"GOD'S GOT THIS" COVERS THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES AND PASSAGES:
- Session 1 – Dreamers Gonna Dream (Genesis 37) | When you have a dream that you will one day rule over your family, you immediately go tell them right? Joseph does, and it puts him in a bad spot with his brothers. They sell him off as a slave, tell their father he died, and don’t give it a second thought. But even after all this happens, Joseph finds himself right where God wants him to be.
- Session 2 – A Divine Appointment (Genesis 39-41) | Even though he was merely a slave, people saw something different about Joseph. They saw the presence of God active in his life. But the success and status he finds himself in comes with a test of faithfulness. Will he remain faithful to the man God is shaping him to be? How do we remain faithful to God when his plan takes us into hard situations?
- Session 3 – When A Plan Comes Together (Genesis 42-47) | Joseph is elevated in position higher than anyone else in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh himself. And now his family comes seeking help, not knowing that he’s even still alive. He could take revenge on them, run them away or even kill them. But instead, he chooses forgiveness. He chooses to embrace his family. How do we do the same? How do we forgive and stay humble in the face of our own struggles?
- Session 4 –God Intended It for Good (Genesis 50) | The family is back together. Joseph has revealed his true identity and reunited with his family. But his brothers are still scared. Without their father alive to protect them anymore, what will Joseph do to them? He reassures them, and tells them God was always in their midst.
