Immanuel – Teaching Series
Immanuel is a two-session Christmas series that helps students slow down in the middle of the season and see Christmas for what it actually is: the moment God came near and came with a purpose, and calls us to do the same.
What's Covered in Immanuel?
Session 1: God Came Near (Luke 1:26-38; Luke 2:8-12; Colossians 1:15-17)
The first Christmas didn’t happen to the powerful or the prominent. It happened to the ordinary and the overlooked. This session challenges students to see that God coming near was the plan and that He comes near to us, too.
Session 2: Because of Love (1 John 4:7-12;19)
God’s love doesn’t stop with us. God came near, and because of that, we’re called to go near to others. This session challenges students to see that the love God showed us in Jesus is the same love we’re called to show the world.
