What’s the Passcode is a game that has student trying to figure out a random 4- digit passcode with a series of clues that show up in the form of notifications. “The 3rd number is even”, “The 2nd number is three less than the 4th”, “The 1st number plus the 4th equals 5”, etc. The first student (or group) to correctly guess that passcode wins! Don’t worry, if they just aren’t getting it, you can force one of the notifications to straight up tell you one of the numbers.

What makes this a premium game?

Premium games are those that you can play over and over again as the outcomes of our premium games are never the same! Watch the video to the left to learn all about how this premium game works. Games that are "one and done" are a part of our Classic Game catalog and those can be seen here.

  •  Getting Started:

    • This game technically doesn’t require any setup, but having pens and paper handy might be a good idea. Or at least let your students use their phones to take notes.

    Instructions:

    • What’s the Passcode is easy to operate, but hard to play! Explain to your students that they need to figure out the 4 digit passcode to unlock the screen (hence the name of the game).
    • Hitting the spacebar on your keyboard will push a notification on the screen with a hint. It could be anything from, “The 2nd number is odd” to “The 1st number plus the 4th number is 12”. Do this at whatever pace feels right for your situation. The goal is for the students to work together to figure out the passcode.
    • If a group thinks they know it, they can have a chance to say it out loud. You’ll enter it on the screen to see if it’s correct or not. If it is, the screen will display a big, “UNLOCKED!” graphic. If they’re wrong, it will buzz and shake.
    • If you feel like your students need a little more of a hint, you can hit the enter key on your keyboard. This will push a notification that directly reveals one of the numbers (i.e. “The 3rd number is 7“). This is helpful because it will help fill in the gaps from the other clues. In fact, it might be a good idea to start off with a direct hint, then use the clue notifications for the rest of the game. Try it out and see what works best for you!
