This is a fun tool that shows how much your students clap, hoot, cheer, and holler. Use it for talent shows, dance-offs, and judging which student came back from winter break with the worst haircut.  

No fancy audio equipment is needed. The needle is moved by the person running the computer. They simply hover their mouse over a rectangle and that movement translates to the needle on the meter. It's super easy and takes competitions to next level!

  • INSTRUCTIONS:

    • The Setup

    Open the Thing Picker app and wait for the dashboard to load up. In the Setting’s panel, use the number input fields to set your range. When you’re done, hit the save button! 

    • The Controls  

    -- Launch the game and display it on your screen --  

    The spacebar will toggle the “spinner” on and off. The up and down arrow keys will cycle through your number range. If you’d like to force a number to be picked, use the “Force Box” below the controls to set the number that will be picked. Make sure click the “Force Next Number” box to apply it. The next time you toggle the picker, it will land on the number that you forced. After that, it will return to random mode.
