The book of Proverbs presents wisdom as more than information. It’s a whole way of living that’s aligned with God’s design. In a world full of competing voices and “quick fixes”, students must decide whose wisdom they will trust. Wise Up will explore how Biblical wisdom shapes decisions, words, relationships, and futures. Students will discover that true wisdom begins with obedience to God and delighting in Him, and that it leads to a flourishing life.

What's Covered in Wise Up?

Session 1: The Beginning of Wisdom (Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 3:5-6)

Wisdom starts with trusting the Lord. This session lays the foundation by exploring what it means to acknowledge God in every area of life, not simply knowing He’s there, but listening to Him and walking with Him. Students will consider how dependence on God leads to clarity and direction for their daily lives.

 

Session 2: Wisdom in Our Words (Proverbs 12:18; Proverbs 18:21)

Words carry weight. This session explores how the things that we say can either bring life or do real harm. Students will be invited to reflect on how their words, both online and in person, reflect wisdom or foolishness.

 

Session 3: Wisdom in Relationships (Proverbs 13:20; Proverbs 27:17)

Who we surround ourselves with shapes who we are becoming. This session examines how friendships influence our character, our choices, and who we’re becoming. Students will consider how wise relationships lead to growth.

 

Session 4: Wisdom for the Future (Proverbs 4:23-27; Proverbs 16:9)

Wisdom guides long-term direction. This session explores the ideas of guarding our hearts, making thoughtful decisions, and trusting God with our future. Students will be encouraged to pursue choices that align with God’s ways, rather than trying to control their future by their own strength.
