KillSquare 2.0 is the next iteration of one of our most popular games… KillSquare! Here’s how it works: Clear out your youth room and tape down 4 large colored squares. Tell your students to get into a square. Then KillSquare 2.0 will randomly pick a square to eliminate! Everyone has a few seconds to rush into another square before the next random one is hit! Keep doing this until there is one person standing! It’s fast-paced, easy to set up, and something you can play again and again!

What makes this a premium game?

Premium games are those that you can play over and over again as the outcomes of our premium games are never the same! Watch the video to the left to learn all about how this premium game works. Games that are "one and done" are a part of our Classic Game catalog and those can be seen here.

  • Getting Started:

    • Using 4 different colored rolls of painter’s tape, create a 2x2 grid with each square being large enough to hold 1/4th of your students. It’s a good idea to make a 3-5ft gap in between the squares. This makes it harder to cheat. It’s also a good idea to create a large square to act as a parameter that’s about 3-5 feet from the grid. When someone gets out, they have to stand on the other side of the parameter. Open the KillSquare 2 app and click on each box in the settings to change the colors to match the ones you have on the floor. If you need help, you can google something like “Orange Hex Code” to get the color code. This is the same code you use for websites. Like white is #ffffff and black is #000000. Once you’re done setting up your colors, make sure you save your changes!

    Instructions:

    • Launch the game and display it on your screen -- Tell your students to quickly get into a square and stay there! The person running the computer will hit the spacebar 4 times. The first three will simply make a beeping sound. The fourth will randomly X out of the squares. Anyone in that square is out and has to quickly run to the sidelines.
    • Once everyone is off the grid, tell your students then can move to a different square if they want. Begin hitting the spacebar as they’re moving. They’ll know that the third beep is the last.
    • Repeat this until one person is left! If you want, you can hit the Enter/Return key on your keyboard to do the beep as many times as you’d like. You can also force a square to be out just by hitting the 1-4 keys. In fact, you can have multiple squares out at a time if you’d like. The C key will clear the squares for the next round!
