Jesus and Forgiveness: A 4-Lesson Bible Study will teach your students what real forgiveness looks like, why their forgiveness is tied to how they forgive others, and how forgiveness dramatically impacts the lives of the forgiver and the forgiven.
If you had to choose the most important aspect of a teenager’s life, relationships would be near the top. Relationships are the threads that hold our teenagers’ lives together. Yet as we all know, there are no perfect relationships. When we live life with other people, we will inevitably get hurt. How do we deal with being wronged by others when it’s so difficult to address and the damage is so real? Good thing Jesus had a ton to say about this.
Jesus and Forgiveness: A 4-Lesson Bible Study, one of the 13 Jesus Studies Bible studies, will help you teach your students what real forgiveness looks like, why their forgiveness is tied to how they forgive others, and how forgiveness dramatically impacts the lives of the forgiver and the forgiven.
Teach Jesus and Forgiveness and help your students impact the world through forgiving others.
Lesson Overview
What's Included
Jesus Studies 52-Week Strategy
Lesson 1: Forgiveness Starts With Jesus
Learning Objective: Students will learn that the forgiveness we are to extend to others comes from the forgiveness that originates in Christ; and will be challenged to be more aware of how they see the concept of forgiveness at work in their lives. (Mark 2:1-12; Matthew 1:21; Luke 23:34)
Lesson 2: Forgive To Be Forgiven
Learning Objective: Students will learn that God will not forgive us unless we forgive others; and will be challenged to identify anyone in their lives to whom they need to extend forgiveness, and to commit to forgiving him or her. (Matthew 18:21-35; Matthew 6:14-15, Mark 11:25)
Lesson 3: Forgive Without Limits
Learning Objective: Students will learn that we can’t put any limits on our forgiveness; there is never a moment when we can say, “enough forgiveness”; and will be challenged to accept that the emotional turmoil caused by forgiving people who repeatedly hurt them makes them more Christ-like than they know. (Luke 17:1-4)
Lesson 4: Forgive Like The Forgiver
Learning Objective: Students will learn that as children of God, our identities as forgivers is wrapped up in God’s identity as our Father; and will be challenged to embrace a life that seeks to show love, kindness, and forgiveness to all people, especially those who are most undeserving of it. (Luke 6:27-37)

Secure your next year of Bible study strategy today with the Jesus Studies 52-Week Strategy
Fears every Youth Worker has when selecting a year-long Bible Study:
The fear of locking into a Bible study that looks good on the surface but doesn't go any deeper than surface-level
The fear of being a few weeks into a study and it not meeting the expectations you set
The fear of picking a study that doesn't ultimately speak into the lives of your students
It doesn't have to be this way.
You don’t need to be reminded of the issues teenagers deal with as they try to live out their faith in a world that’s often opposed to their core beliefs. Navigating these issues can be rough. Teenagers get so many mixed messages; the world says one thing, their friends may say another. And we hope they know enough about their faith to know how to make sense of it all.
The Jesus Studies, a 52-week Bible study strategy, cut through the confusion, teaching your students a Christ-centered look at the major issues they deal with in their lives.
These are not watered-down, topical Bible studies. These studies reveal how Jesus weighs in on the very issues your students are confronted with on a daily basis. Your students will learn to see life through the person of Christ.
Your students will journey through the following concepts: Jesus and Identity, Your Faith, Jesus and Culture, Jesus and Loving Others, Jesus and Tough Times, Jesus and Your Image, Jesus and Stress, Jesus and Forgiveness, Jesus and Influence, Jesus and Relationships, Jesus and Your Future, Jesus and Mean People, and Jesus and Stuff.
Teach The Jesus Studies to equip your students to see the relevant issues of their lives through the words of Jesus.
