Have you ever felt like you're not "good enough"? Wondered, "How could God use me after what I've done?" or thought, "I'm not smart or strong enough for that"? The amazing thing about God's plan is that it doesn't depend on our strength. Over the four sessions of Good Enough, we'll explore people in the Bible whom God used in extraordinary ways. They weren't "good enough" by human standards, but they all had one thing in common—they made themselves available to God. Join us to discover how God can use anyone, including you, for His incredible purposes.

  • "GOOD ENOUGH" IS PART OF YM360’S SERMON SERIES LINE OF RESOURCES AND IS IDEAL FOR:

    • Any large group setting
    • Mid-week youth service
    • "Master teacher” format

"GOOD ENOUGH" COVERS THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES AND PASSAGES:

      • Session 1 – Moses (Exodus 2-3) | Born to a loving family, quickly orphaned in a foreign land, raised separated from his people, labeled a murderer, exiled to their wilderness…and chosen by God to set his people free? Moses lived a life of great ups and downs. Despite all of those things, God chose to use him in even greater ways. It didn’t matter that he had speech problems, that he doubted himself, or even that he had a sketchy past, God’s plans can’t be derailed by our lack of qualification.

      • Session 2 – Gideon (Judges 7) | God I’m not sure I’m strong enough for what you want me to do.” Have you ever felt that before? It’s a common thing to feel when God has asked you to do something incredible for his plan. Gideon felt that same thing, asking God over and over…are you sure? But God already had the victory in hand. He only needed Gideon to be faithful in what was asked of him. If we trust in God and are faithful to what God has asked of us, we’ll see the victory that he already has taken hold of.

      • Session 3 – The Disciples (Matthew 4:18-22) | Jesus walks up, tells you to leave everything behind, and follow Him. What do you do? Do you take the time to pack up your fishing nets? Do you row your boat to shore and tie it up so you can come back to it later? Do you hug your family and tell them you’ll see them again soon? When Jesus calls his first disciples, he makes a big ask…leave all of it behind. Their response was to drop everything they were doing and go. Their obedience in that moment tells us the kind of response Jesus wants from each of us as well.

      • Session 4 – Mary (Luke 1:26-38) | An ordinary girl, living an ordinary life, with things to look forward to like being married and raising a family. Then out of nowhere an angel of the Lord appears telling you God has a bigger design for your life than you ever realized. Mary was chosen by God to be Jesus’ earthly mom, to raise God’s son, to lead Him as he grew up to lead all of eternity. Her response? May everything you say be fulfilled by God.
