Life Community Church is seeking a Student Pastor that is ready to lead an incredible group of students and volunteers. Life Community is fortunate enough to be nestled in the heart of the fast-growing town of Nolensville, TN. This alone provides for a vast array of opportunities for the Student Pastor to tap into on a daily basis. The Student Pastor will be involved in all phases of ministry for LCC Students (6th-12th grade), leading and organizing a thriving and engaging student ministry that implements fellowship, worship, Bible teaching, discipleship and evangelism. The Student Pastor will seek to make disciples and to train and mobilize them to further multiply those disciples.

DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Plan, prepare, and execute all Wednesday night student ministry curriculum and events

• Maintain and communicate student ministry calendar to students, parents and volunteers

• Recruit and oversee volunteers for student ministry – providing training, support, and encouragement

• Seek ways to connect with students and their families and to help build relationships outside of Wednesday night programming

• Implement and maintain a process to ensure all student ministry visitors are contacted and connected to Life Community

• Provide opportunities for students to engage in events outside of Wednesday nights (i.e. game nights for small groups, paintball for students, go-kart racing, etc.)

• Plan and execute at least two retreats for students throughout the year

• Provide opportunities for intentional discipleship (Bible studies, small group meetings, etc.)

• Oversee and manage student ministry budget

• Attend weekly staff meetings

• Work with Communications Director to plan social media content for student ministry

• Assist with set up and tear down for church events

• Attend all church events, intentionally looking for ways to help students to connect

• Act as a “utility player” for whatever is needed and a leader when needed

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS

• Commitment to continued spiritual growth and a relationship with Jesus Christ

• Excellent leadership skills

• Ability to create and meet deadlines

• Clear and effective verbal and written communication

• Ability to build strong relationships with students and families

• Ability to work extended hours for church events, student sporting events, etc. as needed.

• Strong knowledge of the Bible and ability to communicate it to students

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (preferred, but not required)

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Previous ministry experience
