Launching The Final Volumes Of The "elements" Bible Study

In January we launched Volume 1 of our elements Bible study curriculum. It represented 5 of the 25 studies that would eventually make up the line.

Well, it gives me GREAT pleasure to say that today is the big day we can say, "It's finished!"

Yup, as of (very) late last night, we now have all 25 of the element studies live on the ym360 store. If you haven't checked them out, I would strongly encourage you to do so. And here's why . . .

The thing that makes elements so great in my mind is the in-depth content provided in such a clean, simple package. 25 foundational concepts of the faith, each taught in three lessons. Teach all 25 for a 2-year curriculum, or pick and choose based on topics you think your students need to know. And, let me tell you, the three-lesson "lens" is what makes these so effective.

  • The first lesson looks at the concept through the lens of God's character.
  • The second lesson looks at the concept through the lens of the Gospel.
  • The third lesson looks at the concept through an ultra focused lens of practically living out the concept as a 21st Century teenage Christ-follower.

But the biggest deal for me is this: I've spent the last 13 years of my life teaching teenagers the Bible, and helping them grow closer to Christ. I can say this without hesitation: there's not a single one of the 25 concepts that aren't vital to teenagers' faith. I want students to know God and His ways. And when I think about them studying topics like Salvation, Grace, God's Judgment, God's Righteousness, Spiritual Gifts, Worship, Obedience . . . When I think about what I didn't know as a teenager it makes me beyond happy that teenagers are getting a chance to know God in a deep, meaningful way.

We'll be devoting a few posts next week to elements, but for now, it's nice to sit back and see the work done.

If you're serious about your students having a solid foundation upon which to grow their faith, on behalf of the entire ym360 Team, I'd love to invite you to try out elements.
