Few speak and teach the Word with as much passion and clarity as Ed Newton. Ed travels the country sharing about the truth of Christ that he found while living through difficult circumstances and major hardships in high school. As the only child of two deaf parents, Ed lived in a world of silence. In those early days, it was through the spoken word of others and the written Word of God that clarified a call to ministry as a senior in high school. God began to show forth His sovereign will in leading Ed to Clearwater Christian College to gain a Biblical education, while affording the opportunity to play college basketball for four years. He and his wife Stephanie, and their four children London, Liv, Lola and Lawson reside in San Antonio, TX where Ed serves as the Lead Pastor of Community Bible Church. His communication style can be summarized as “passion with content” while seeking to inspire people to be passionate, dedicated followers of Christ.
“From the first time I met Ed years ago, I was encouraged with his passion and commitment to be a leading voice for a generation of students. He boldly preaches the Gospel in love and understand that his number one responsibility is to be a clear communicator of the Bible.” – J. Roger Davis
Jason Cook is deeply committed to faithful biblical preaching and that becomes obvious from anyone who sits under his leadership. He is a dynamic communicator obviously gifted by God to be able to minister to a wide range of people. Jason gives leadership to Iron City Church in Birmingham, AL and travels the country sharing the incredible message of reconciliation that Jesus offers those who repent and believe. He was born and raised in Birmingham, AL in a home that feared God. At the age of 8, he walked down an aisle, as he wanted to avoid hell. After a successful high school football career, he graduated from high school in Northeast Atlanta and accepted a football scholarship to Ole Miss. It was at Ole Miss that he came into a true knowledge of Jesus and began the wonderfully arduous adventure of following Him. He was a standout at The University of Mississippi and was a member of the Baltimore Ravens Football Club during the pre-season of 2009. He ultimately walked away from the game of football to pursue the call to evangelism. He and his wife Cortney live in Birmingham, AL with their growing family.
I felt a great connection the first time I spent with Jason a few years ago. He is a refreshing voice in a world often full of noise. He preaches the Word and proclaims it’s truths for all he leads.” – J. Roger Davis
“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” - Ephesians 4:4-6
ONE moment can define history. ONE decision can change a life. ONE person can start a movement. The power of one resounds through Scripture, and by studying ONE, your students will travel through the Word to discover a powerful message that God has for them:
• There is ONE God
• ONE way to Him
• ONE family united under His banner
• And ONE mission we've been entrusted with
Students will encounter the capital-T truth: There is one God, the creator of the universe and of you and me, and there is no other. And the Bible is 100% clear on the subject: Jesus Himself says no one can come to the one, true God except through Him. And if we come to God through faith in Christ? We’re welcomed into one giant, awesome family of Believers.
Want more great news? We’ve been given one main mission: go and make disciples of all nations!

Something we believe deeply in around here at YM360 is that "alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much ... " This is especially true in how we partner with churches. We're all in this thing together and that's why we're so excited about ONE Weekend. This weekend conference is a collaborative effort between our team here at YM360, Ed Newton, and the student ministry team at Community Bible Church. Our collective hope is that you and your students have a powerful and meaningful experience in God's Word throughout the weekend.
