ABOUT THIS FREEBIE:

What You Get: 1 free lesson to demo our Jesus and Stress four-lesson Bible study

Stress. It’s a dominant part of your teenagers’ daily lives. Stress over schoolwork, sports, jobs, and friends. Not to mention the stress that their home life can cause. Teenagers juggle so many responsibilities and deal with so much pressure and expectations. How can we lead them to deal with stress in a godly, Christ-centered way? Good thing Jesus had a ton to say about this.

Teach Jesus and Stress and help students see that God is the source of their peace and assurance in a stressful world.

Jesus and Stress LESSON OVERVIEWS:

Lesson 1: God > Stress

(This is the free demo lesson below)

Objective: Students today live in a world of stress. Just the extreme fast pace of life in the 21st century is enough to create feelings of anxiety and uneasiness. So what exactly is stress for today’s teenager? This lesson will identify the major stressors in their lives and will help them consider what it looks like to give those over to God as they are challlenged to see he is bigger than stress.

Lesson 2: The Choice Is Yours
Objective: To show studentsthat they have a choice when it comes to dealing with their stress: they can choose to give in to the worries of this world, or they can choose to focus on Jesus. In this lesson, they will see choosing to focus on Christ will help them learn the Biblical model for dealing with stress.

Lesson 3: Choosing To Choose Right
Objective: To show students that choosing to trust God with their stress is the right decision even if they don’t understand exactly what God is doing. This lesson will also help them define what “surrender” looks like and to commit to surrendering one of their main sources of stress to God.

Lesson 4: Peace > Stress
Objective: In this final lesson you will leave them with the ultimate help for times when they feel troubled. Just as Jesus left His disciples with the promise of the coming of a helper, the Holy Spirit, you are ending this series of lesson with the reality of that Holy Spirit. Your students will find peace and comfort in life because the Holy Spirit is real and lives in the lives of every believer.
